Meet Kris

To move forward, I’ve learned that data is only the start of the story.

I’ve been in managerial roles in engineering, quality, and manufacturing for more than two decades. In that time, I’ve been both the leader and led, and I’ve seen what happens when you try to make change happen based on data alone. You get stuck on the hamster wheel, with people only bringing you problems, not solutions. The same issues keep coming up – no matter what you try.

This happens because there’s more to the story and it has to do with signals. It’s been well-researched that we all have our own inner “signals”: our thoughts, inner critic, emotions, and intuition that we experience and need to interpret. Not only do we have our own, we’re also picking up on others’ signals and all the noise out there between expectations, social media, comparison, the news, and all that overwhelms.

Let’s be honest. If we don’t pay attention, most of the day we function on autopilot because of this bombardment of signals. However, if you never tune into your own signals, seek to understand them, and work on creating the mental shifts to leverage them, the right next steps to take will continue to elude you. If you never tune into your team’s signals – you can’t ever know them well enough to motivate and effectively communicate with them. Finding that resonance – getting on the same wavelength – is really how you can finally stop putting out fires and move forward together.

That’s why I founded Action & Ease in 2021 – to help you do exactly that. Because tuning into yourself and your team is the game-changer that can take you from firefighting to acting with IMPACT.

With 20+ years of experience, a master’s degree in engineering management, and key certifications from the engineering, quality, and manufacturing worlds – I know what it takes to thrive as both a leader and a team member in these industries. Building on that foundation, I’ve earned multiple coaching and change leadership certifications including ones from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Positive Intelligence (PQ), and Cornell University. Across this work and my 17+ years as a volunteer leader for the National Ski Patrol (NSP), I’ve come to see the incredible impact that’s possible when you figure out how to tune into and trust yourself, and how to tune into and trust others.

And that’s the best part of the work I do as a leadership coach – deep listening, providing perspectives, creating spaces for self-awareness – all to help you identify not just any next action but the greatest ones - the actions that truly speak to you. Because you can have all the data and skills in the world, but when you gain the perspective and awareness to factor yours and others’ signals in – you’ll finally know what to do and where to lead next with ease.

So, if you’re ready for that – to resonate, motivate, lead, and act with impact, you can.

Let’s tune into your signals together.
